Those signs didn’t always tout billions served. Actually according to their website the first signs said 1 million served and then in 1958 100 million served. It wasn’t until 1963 that they sold their billionth hamburger. Phenomenal growth and at 99 billion they got “tired” of counting or ran out of room on the signs. Now many of the signs just say “Billions served” or some version of that.

What does that have to do with Premier Pack or carry solutions?

Nothing really, except for the fact that we recently sat down and tried to figure out how many carry solutions we sold over the years? How many solutions for mobile phones, medical devices or industrial devices have we manufactured over what seems like a lifetime? How many new devices where launched with one of our carry solutions in-box? We reflected on our time managing numerous manufacturing facilities here in the US that employed well over 750 workers. The years we moved our manufacturing to Asia and how that led to tremendous growth.

We listed all the customers we served over the last 25 years, many who still work with us today. We added them all up and truth be told we also got “tired” and sidetracked at 250 million. 250 million carry solutions that helped people carry their devices and hopefully made their lives a bit easier. We stopped counting and we thought that that 250 million was a pretty good base or more importantly a good history to build upon for the next 25 years.

We are not going to putting up signs or counters on the website (although that might not be a bad idea) but it reminded us of what it took to get to 250 million and how hard we will work every day to get to that 1,000,000,000th served by designing and manufacturing the best products for our customers.

About 6 months ago, we introduced our new Logo.

The idea was to have a fresh look, we were a new company one with a long history but one that was in the midst of positive change. We designed new business cards, stationary etc. When it came time to updating our website, we could have taken the easy way out. Use our existing website just change the color scheme, add the new logo and maybe introduce a few new products or ideas. As we began to discuss the process we realized that this website needed to be much more. Our business was changing and would continue to change and we needed a venue to show that constant change or update. We decided to not take the easy way out, but revisit what we wanted to our website to be – which is no easy task.

We engaged First Tracks Marketing Group to assist us with this transition. This company had one distinct advantage over all the other companies we spoke with. The company’s President and I had worked together and he had full knowledge of what our business is like. So we did not have teach them about us, what we were, what we are and what we could be and in my opinion that counted for a lot. We utilized some of the most up to date web technology but what was most important to us is that we can instantly update our site. Our business changes all the time and we needed a site that would change as fast as we do. Now we have one.

What we hope we expressed in the site is a bit of history or who we are, what we are currently doing today but most importantly what we could do for you tomorrow. What product can we design for you? Browse through our designs online, hopefully it will inspire you, contact us and we will help. Keep checking back to the website we will be updating it often with new ideas.

Look for a carry solution that fits your needs, there is probably a case already on our site that you have seen and used at one point. This is just a sample of the 1,000′s of products we produce. All our products are built to exacting standards so you can rest assured that your first product will be the same as the last.

We introduced new services, specifically Prototyping.

We have always designed the carry solutions for devices but in doing so we learned how to build prototypes for fitting our cases and we got really good at. So with the encouragement of some of our customers we started offering Prototyping services. Look at all the beautiful prototypes, we build these in a matter of days or weeks not months. Most of our customers share their design files with us, that’s all we need to get started. If you have the need for prototypes contact us and we will be furnish you with a quote and lead time that will impress you.

We look forward to updating you on our progressive change through our website. Check back often, and give us a chance to prove to you what our long time customers already know.

Just about everyday, someone at our company Premier Pack, thinks of and shares an idea that helps our customers, fellow employees or the world in general. We have only one rule when it comes to ideas, well actually two. First there is no such thing as a “stupid” (sorry about the word stupid) idea, period. Every thought has merit. Some of the greatest accomplishment came out out of failure. I cannot count the times when a customer was unhappy with our design, I also can’t count how many times those same designs or components of those designs ended up landing us large orders for a totally different purpose. Which come to our second rule: “Share your ideas”. We love all ideas no matter where they come from.

Inspiration for ideas are all around us.

I am probably a little “case” crazy. Every store I go to I search for every product that has or uses a carry case and every product that should use a carry case. Every magazine I read, and I read a lot of them at least one idea comes from that material. In most situations I usually read an article and have to figure out how the product, material or production method applies to our business. Rarely do I read an article that speaks right to our business.

Recently I read an article in Forbes, about two high school classmates who spent six years developing a strong nylon like material they call “Bionic Yarn”. Now I am not going to go into the details of how they discovered this process. It is pretty amazing, that recyclable plastic bottles can be turned into yarn that can be made into shoes, clothing and bags…. yes, bags.

Most of our customers are searching for ways to protect their products with cases at the lowest possible cost. At the same time most of them are also searching for ways to utilize recyclable materials as well.

Is this material strong enough to be manufactured into cases that hold and protect some of the world’s most sophisticated equipment? Is it cost efficient to use taking into consideration the materials are recyclable ? Is the material really Bionic? These are all good questions, ones that I believe are worth getter answers to. We have reached out to this company in the hope of finding those answers and maybe one day soon, one of our cases will be “Bionic”.

To learn more about the Bionic Yarn read the article. We will keep you updated on our progress.
